Let me tell you about the carnage that President Trump was talking about. My stepson died of a drug overdose in 2013 and this past Christmas Eve my daughter-in-law’s brother died of a drug overdose. Another stepson of mine called his mother a few days ago to tell her about a friend’s brother who had died of an overdose. We are an upper-middle-class family and all of us are college educated and hold good jobs. Perhaps the Journal could pull a reporter from its Syria coverage and send him to Chicago’s South Side to write about the carnage there. The Journal’s misplaced concern for Aleppo is precisely what President Trump is talking about.
